DiasporaFrench President Macron Declares “Readiness To Find A Just, Long-Term & Acceptable Political Solution For All Parties” In Artsakh.

French President Emnanuel Macron had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

According to the Elysee Palace, during the conversation, the French leader expressed readiness to contribute to achieving a long-term settlement of the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh (Artsakh) and a just settlement for all parties of the conflict zone.

“The President expressed satisfaction with the cessation of hostilities, reminded of his friendship with Armenia and its people, as well as [declared] his readiness to find a just, long-term and acceptable political solution for all parties in Nagorno-Karabakh,” said the statement by the office of the French leader, TASS reported.

To note, Russian President Vladimir Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday night signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
