Following a sold-out U.S. debut in 2023, the Armenian National Basketball Team is set to return to Los Angeles from June 21 to June 23, 2024, to compete in a tournament against Guatemala and Ireland.
Fresh off a thrilling 84-79 victory over Albania at Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, Armenia now stands second in its group for the FIBA World Cup Pre-Qualifiers. This impressive performance paves the way for the highly anticipated upcoming Los Angeles tournament.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Rex Kalamian, who also serves as an assistant coach for the NBA’s Milwaukee Bucks, Armenia’s team looks to continue their winning ways with a squad led by Captain Andre Mkrtchyan Spight.
The tournament kicks off with Armenia facing Guatemala on Friday, June 21. Armenia will then face Ireland on Sunday, June 23, in a game that will determine the tournament’s winner.
This year, the games will be hosted at a larger venue than Armenia’s 2023 matches against France, taking place at the Cal-State University-Los Angeles arena.
Ticket sales will be announced shortly. Opportunities for sponsor partnerships are currently available.
