Member of Parliament Sofya Hovsepyan has resigned from the “My Step” ruling faction, will continue serving as an independent MP.
Her post reads as follows:
“Dear compatriots, I have decided to leave my “My Step” faction, from now on I will act as an independent deputy. I made the decision after thinking for a long time.
This does not mean that I will fail in my mission, but that I will continue to work with the same dedication as I have done so far. I will be supportive of any patriotic pro-state cause, as I have been, I will be against all the issues that will not be in the interests of our country and nation.
I ask those who trust me not to be constrained to apply in any matter, to expect my support. At the same time, I apologize to my compatriots who trusted me with their vote, that I did not discuss this decision with you, but I am sure that you will approach with understanding. Dear journalists, please be satisfied with this statement, as I have nothing more to present at the moment.
Sincerely, your Sofya.”
