The Republic of Armenia has confirmed 48 new coronavirus cases and its 22nd death, on Monday, April 20, total cases now stand at 1,339, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.

Out of the 1,339 total cases, 580 people recovered (35 Today) and 22 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 737 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

Today, the Republic of Armenia reported its 21st and 22nd fatalities from the coronavirus were 62-years-old and 90-years-old, they both had suffered from pre-existing medical conditions and chronic diseases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health.

To date, 13,373 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

Armenia has extended the state of emergency in the country by May 14 and restricted the movement of citizens.
