Armenia’s exports fell 40.6% year-over-year in January–November 2025, totaling $7.35 billion, according to the Statistical Committee of Armenia. Over the same period, overall foreign trade turnover declined 33.2% to $18.9 billion, while imports dropped 27.4% to $11.56 billion.
Despite the contraction, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, and China remained Armenia’s largest export destinations. Exports to Russia amounted to $2.73 billion, down 9% from a year earlier. The UAE ranked second with $1.7 billion in exports, reflecting a steep 66.2% decline, while exports to China totaled $648.5 million, down 38.1%.
Exports to Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states also declined, falling by 7.2% to $2.95 billion.
In contrast, exports to the European Union increased by 7.6%, reaching $593.6 million. Among EU countries, exports to the Netherlands rose by 11.4% to $127.5 million, exports to Germany surged by 74.3% to $101.6 million, and exports to Belgium increased by 15.9% to $127.1 million.
Exports to France dropped by 29.5% to $5.9 million, while exports to Italy edged down by 1.3% to $60.4 million.
