Today, Armenia’s Ministry of Health announced that it has decided to acquire the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine of the United Kingdom to inoculate 3% of the population, delivery is expected in March 2021.

To note, the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine of the United Kingdom has met the vaccine safety, efficacy requirements at all stages of clinical trials, and received authorization for emergency use from the World Health Organization.

The Republican Advisory Committee on Immunization discussed the priorities of the risk groups of vaccines against coronavirus disease (COVID-19), 

In the first phase, the residents of the elderly care centers will be vaccinated – employees, medical workers, employees of social care centers, 65-year-old people, 16 to 64-year-old chronic patients.

Due to the epidemic situation, lecturers, teachers, Ministry of Emergency Situations, servicemen, justice workers, public transport workers, civil servants will be vaccinated at the next stage due to the availability of the vaccine.
