Armenia’s Elmira Karapetyan won the women’s individual 10m air pistol event at the Polish Open Kaliber 2025 tournament in Bia?ystok, Poland, advancing from qualification with 569 points and securing gold with a final score of 242.3 ahead of two Ukrainian competitors, reports the Armenian Shooting Federation.
On the tournament’s last day, rifle shooters also competed in their individual events.
Earlier in the competition, Elmira Karapetyan and Benik Khlghatyan earned silver in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Khlghatyan also competed in the men’s individual event, where he placed 8th.
Elmira Karapetyan, born on May 18, 1994, in Yerevan, is one of Armenia’s leading sport shooters and a specialist in the 10m air pistol event. She represented Armenia at both the 2020 Summer Olympics and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, where she finished 9th in qualification with 576 points, just one point shy of reaching the final. She has earned multiple international distinctions, including a silver medal in the women’s 10m air pistol at the 2025 European Championship in Osijek, Croatia. Her consistent performances on the international stage highlight her role as a key figure in Armenia’s shooting program and a strong contributor to the national team’s success.
