Armenia’s Ambassador to the United States, Narek Mkrtchyan, met with Congressman Brad Sherman, Vice Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, and Congressman Frank Pallone, Co-Chair of the Congressional Armenian Caucus, in Washington, D.C., on October 8.

During his meeting with Congressman Sherman, Ambassador Mkrtchyan and the Vice Chair discussed key issues on the Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda, including prospects for expanding economic cooperation and the potential launch of direct flights between Armenia and the United States. The Ambassador also presented government programs supporting families forcibly displaced from Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

In his meeting with Congressman Pallone, Ambassador Mkrtchyan expressed gratitude for Pallone’s steadfast support for Armenia and his consistent advocacy on issues important to the Armenian people. They discussed current topics on the Armenia–U.S. bilateral agenda and explored opportunities to further strengthen the partnership between the two nations.

According to the Armenian Embassy in Washington, Ambassador Mkrtchyan’s engagements with members of the Congressional Armenian Caucus reflect ongoing efforts to deepen Armenia–U.S. cooperation across political, economic, and humanitarian spheres.
