The Lark Musical Society will mark a historic milestone on Sunday, October 5, 2025, with the official ribbon cutting of the new Lark Cultural Center in Glendale, followed by a Festival Concert at the Alex Theatre.
The celebration begins with an exclusive VIP ribbon cutting ceremony at 4:00 PM at Lark’s expanded campus, located at 543 Arden Avenue, Glendale. The new Cultural Center – years in the making – will serve as a hub for music, art, research, and community gatherings, preserving Armenian cultural heritage for generations to come. Supported by the Lark community and a $1.5 million contribution from the State of California championed by former Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian, the Center houses a concert hall, gallery, and a unique collection of Armenian artifacts, books, and manuscripts. The ribbon cutting ceremony is already sold out.
At 7:00 PM, the celebration continues at the iconic Alex Theatre (216 N. Brand Blvd, Glendale) with a Festival Concert showcasing the breadth of Lark’s artistic departments. The evening’s program will feature:
- Lark Chorus & Orchestra under the direction of Garo Avessian
