Armenia’s Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg) faced a tough match against Japan’s Nao Kusaka, losing 3-1 in the semifinals of the Men’s Greco-Roman wrestling competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Despite this setback, Amoyan’s journey is not over. He will fight for a bronze medal on Wednesday, August 7, keeping his Olympic dream alive.

The 25-year-old is a World Champion (2021, Oslo) and a three-time European Champion (2022, Budapest; 2024, Bucharest). He has also won silver medals at the European Wrestling Championships (2021, Warsaw) and the Individual Wrestling World Cup (2020, Belgrade). Additionally, he earned bronze medals at the World Wrestling Championships in consecutive years (2022, 2023, both in Belgrade).

Let’s rally behind our champion and cheer him on as he competes for bronze!
