Armenian gymnast Artur Davtyan won gold in the men’s vault final with a flawless performance at the 2026 Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Cairo, Egypt, posting an average score of 14.666 across his two attempts.
Davtyan delivered identical scores of 14.666 on both vaults, finishing ahead of Kazakhstan’s Assan Salimov, who took silver with a 14.083 average, and Czech Republic’s Jonas Danek, who earned bronze with 14.016.
The Olympic silver and bronze medalist, world champion, and three-time European champion capped off a strong showing in Cairo, where he had also competed in the rings final earlier in the competition, finishing fourth with 13.833.
Earlier in the competition, Hamlet Manukyan also won gold in the pommel horse final with a score of 14.800. Fellow Armenian Mamikon Khachatryan, who had topped qualification, finished fourth in the final.
Another Armenian gymnast, Artur Avetisyan, earned silver in the rings final with 14.300 points, giving Armenia multiple medals at the Cairo World Cup stage.
