Armenian Youth Collective (AYC) Relaunches as Nationwide Movement to Unite High School Armenians

NewsDiasporaArmenian Youth Collective (AYC) Relaunches as Nationwide Movement to Unite High School Armenians

The Armenian Youth Collective (AYC), a sister organization to the All-Armenian Student Association (All-ASA), has officially announced its relaunch. Formerly known as Armenian Youth of Southern California, AYC is now expanding its mission nationwide with the goal of uniting Armenian high school students under one collective voice.

Through AYC, members and constituent organizations will gain access to a larger support system that provides college admissions mentorship, leadership development, cultural enrichment, and a space to engage in collaborative philanthropy. By centralizing these efforts, AYC ensures that Armenian youth remain organized, while also integrating them into the broader continuum of Armenian student leadership represented by All-ASA.

AYC describes itself as more than just a student group: it is a hub for Armenian high school clubs, organizations, and youth-led projects, offering resources, mentorship, and cross-collaboration opportunities. The organization emphasizes five primary goals: serving as an umbrella group for Armenian student initiatives, connecting teens across regions, providing mentorship on college and career pathways, offering internship and volunteer opportunities, and fostering philanthropic and community engagement.

Members and participants are encouraged to start their own committees and projects, with AYC pledging support in the form of guidance, volunteer networks, or even financial assistance. In addition, the organization highlights cultural programming — such as workshops and dialogue on Armenian identity — as well as hands-on community service and fundraising projects.

AYC’s leadership notes that this relaunch represents both a renewal of its earlier work and a significant expansion.

Nensi Hatsoyan, Advisor and AYC Co-Founder: “The Armenian Youth Collective is not only an effort to unite the youth, but also a platform for them to pursue their passions and discover meaningful ways to support their homeland. We’re excited to create a space with the resources and guidance they need to get involved, deepen their love for Armenia, and turn their passion into action!”

Ellen Vartanyan, Advisor and AYC Co-Founder: “AYC is an incredible opportunity for young Armenians who are excited about making an impact both locally and in Armenia. It’s more than an org, it’s a movement empowering the next generation to lead, connect, and create lasting change, and I can’t wait to see the impact our future young leaders will make.”

Tigran Poghosyan, Advisor and AYC Co-Founder: “I am so excited for the relaunch of the Armenian Youth Collective, as it will strengthen bonds among Armenian youth and inspire deeper unity. This initiative will foster a closer, more connected community where young Armenians can thrive together.”

AYC’s connection to All-ASA strengthens its reach and legitimacy. All-ASA, the umbrella association that connects Armenian Student Associations across the U.S. and abroad, has recently emphasized the importance of extending support to high school students.

Angela Ter-Martirosyan, All-ASA President: “Our movement is strongest when Armenian youth are organized at every stage of their journey. We are proud to welcome Armenian high school students into All-ASA’s grassroots work and look forward to supporting their growth.”

The Armenian Youth Collective is currently inviting Armenian high school clubs, individual students, and supporters to join this nationwide effort. Interested participants can visit armenianyouthcollective.tilda.ws or complete the interest form linked in the @armenianyouthcollective Instagram bio.
