In a bid to enhance tourism and attract foreign investment, the Armenian government adopted a resolution today to lift visa requirements for citizens of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman, as well as for foreign nationals holding residence permits in a number of key countries.
The decision was approved during a Cabinet meeting on May 22 and is expected to facilitate easier travel and strengthen business ties with the Gulf region and beyond.
Under the new policy, citizens of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Oman will no longer require a visa to enter Armenia. They will be allowed to visit and stay in the country for a maximum period of 180 days within a year, exempt from the requirement to obtain an entry visa.
In addition, foreign nationals who hold valid residence permits in the United States, European Union member states, Schengen Area countries, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, or Oman will also be granted visa-free entry.
