NewsArmeniaAzerbaijani Forces Open Fire On House In Armenia’s Syunik Again, Damage Reported—No Casualties

On the night of April 23, at around 10:20 p.m., Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire in the direction of the Khoznavar village in Syunik Province, resulting in damage to a residential house, reports the Armenian Defense Ministry (MoD).

No casualties were reported.

The Defense Ministry called on Azerbaijan to conduct an investigation into the shelling of the residential house in Khoznavar and to provide public clarification.

The MoD reminds that the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia has proposed the establishment of a joint Armenia-Azerbaijan mechanism for investigating ceasefire violations and related reports. However, Azerbaijan has yet to respond to this initiative.

As previously reported, on April 20 at approximately 2:30 a.m., Azerbaijani forces opened fire on Khoznavar, damaging a solar water heater on the roof of another residential building. No casualties were reported in that incident either.

As previously reported, Azerbaijani forces also opened fire on the Armenian village of Khnatsakh in Syunik on April 13 at around 10:20 p.m., damaging the local Cultural Center. Bullet holes were found on the building’s walls. No injuries were reported.
