SINNERS, produced by Armenian-American Sev Ohanian, opened to a massive $61 million global box office total—earning $45.6 million domestically and an additional $15.4 million internationally—dominating the weekend and securing the number one spot. The production team also includes Armenian-American Talin Haroutounian, who served as the film’s production legal.

This was reported by Armenian Film Society.

SINNERS outperformed A Minecraft Movie while also breaking records. The film is now one of the highest-rated films in Rotten Tomatoes history and the first horror film in over 35 years to earn a perfect “A” CinemaScore, surpassing genre-defining hits like Get Out.

SINNERS is written and directed by Ryan Coogler, and stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as twin brothers who return to their hometown to start again—only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back.

On April 7, 2025, Warner Bros. Pictures, Gold House, and Armenian Film Society hosted a special advance screening of SINNERS at Universal Cinema AMC at CityWalk Hollywood & IMAX. The screening included a Q&A with producer Sev Ohanian, executive producer Rebecca Cho, actress Li Jun Li, and actor Yao. The screening was held at one of only ten theaters in the world equipped with IMAX Film 15-perf projection, showcasing the movie in its full intended format along with 1.43:1 and 2.76:1 aspect ratios.

SINNERS is now playing in theaters nationwide.
