Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo is set to return to Armenia as the national teams of Armenia and Portugal prepare to face each other in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. This highly anticipated match is scheduled for September 6, 2025, at Yerevan’s Republican Stadium.

Both teams are part of Group F in the European qualifiers, alongside Hungary and Ireland. The group stage matches will run from September to November 2025, with each team playing home and away fixtures. The group winner will secure direct qualification to the World Cup, while the runner-up will advance to the play-offs.
