Today, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Elysée Palace in Paris as part of his working visit to France, according the Armenian PM’s office.
The French President welcomed the visit and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Pashinyan for accepting the invitation to participate in the upcoming Artificial Intelligence Action Summit in Paris. President Macron highlighted the continuous development of multi-sectoral cooperation between Armenia and France and reaffirmed France’s support for ensuring Armenia’s development and stability.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan thanked the French President for the warm hospitality, emphasizing that 2024 has been a very dynamic year for Armenia-France relations. He emphasized that numerous high-level meetings and regular contacts throughout the year have elevated the relations between the two nations to a new level.
During the meeting, the leaders discussed a number of topics aimed at further developing bilateral cooperation, including the prospects for implementing joint programs in the economy, infrastructure, road construction, energy, education, tourism, and other sectors.
The meeting also covered significant regional issues, such as the peace process between Armenia and Azerbaijan, border demarcation developments, and the unblocking of regional communication routes as part of the “Crossroads of Peace” project. Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized the Armenian Government’s commitment to the peace agenda.
