On August 28, Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry continued its disinformation campaign, falsely accusing the Armenian military of two cross-border shootings at 6:45 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
These claims, aimed at destabilizing the region, were promptly refuted by Armenia’s Defense Ministry (MoD).

Armenia’s Defense Ministry has consistently refuted these allegations with evidence, affirming Armenia’s commitment to truth and peace, unlike Azerbaijan’s continuous spread of misinformation. This ongoing disinformation campaign by Azerbaijan demonstrates a clear intent to escalate tensions, undermining efforts toward peace and stability in the region.
The Office of the Prime Minister of Armenia has proposed establishing a joint mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations, to which Azerbaijan has yet to respond.
