Armenian boxer Davit Chaloyan defeated Great Britain’s Delicious Orie 3-2 in a split decision in the men’s super heavyweight (92 kg) round of 16, advancing to the quarter-finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Chaloyan was Armenia’s flag bearer at the opening ceremony in Paris.

Armenia is represented at the 2024 Olympic Games by 15 athletes.

On Sunday, gymnasts Artur Davtyan and Vahagn Davtyan qualified for the August 4 finals. Unfortunately, swimmer Varsenik Manucharyan and shooter Elmira Karapetyan failed to qualify.
