The Armenian team won five bronze medals and received a letter of commendation at the 65th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) held in Bath, Great Britain, from July 11-22. The event featured 609 students from 108 countries.

The names of the students and their respective awards are as follows:

  • Vahan Baghdasaryan, 12th grade, PhysMath School – Bronze Medal
  • Areg Mkrtchyan, 12th grade, PhysMath School – Bronze Medal
  • Kamo Mirakyan, 12th grade, PhysMath School – Bronze Medal
  • Aghasi Darbinyan, 11th grade, Quantum College – Bronze Medal
  • Hayk Andriasyan, 12th grade, Quantum College – Bronze Medal
  • Mikayel Galstyan, 11th grade, Quantum College – Letter of Commendation

The Armenian team was led by coach Smbat Gogyan from the “Square” educational foundation and Grigor Kerobyan from “Worldquant” LLC.

At the previous 64th International Mathematical Olympiad, the Armenian team won two silver and three bronze medals.
