Russian State Duma International Affairs Committee Chairman: US Support To Armenia Is Aimed At Creating An Anti-Russian Platform

NewsArmeniaRussian State Duma International Affairs Committee Chairman: US Support To Armenia Is Aimed At Creating An Anti-Russian Platform

Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian State Duma, Leonid Slutsky, stated that the statement of Yuri Kim, acting assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, about supporting and cooperating with Armenia in the field of security is aimed at creating an anti-Russian platform in Transcaucasia.

U.S. acting assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian affairs, Yuri Kim, stated that the U.S. should increase comprehensive support to Armenia, be it in the field of development or defense, and expand it as much as possible.

“During the hearings in the US Senate, Kim stated that it should be about Armenia’s partnership with the USA, not Russia. Even now, Washington intends to “help” Yerevan, perhaps dreaming of creating a new anti-Russian platform in Transcaucasia,”.

He added that such support was also offered to Kiev, and now “Ukraine has turned into a US puppet, which has lost its sovereignty and many of its citizens.”
