Arin Karapet was awarded the Medal of Honor by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia in the Kingdom of Sweden Alexander Arzumanyan.

“Today was a special day for me as a Swedish-Armenian. I had the great honor of receiving the Armenian Parliament’s Medal of Honor for my relationship-building efforts between Sweden and Armenia,” said MP Arin Karapet

“Armenia is a young democracy. Its people face enormous challenges and the country finds itself in region of authoritarian states, but despite this, they have chosen to go their own way towards a democratic development. That development needs to be supported by Europe’s democratic forces. I am deeply honored and would like to thank the Armenian Parliament and the Armenian Ambassador for the medal and the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament, Andreas Norlén, who has always encouraged the work for better relations. Thank you to all of you who support the promotion of democracy and closer relations between Sweden and Armenia,” said the Swedish-Armenian MP.
