DEVELOPING STORY: On the evening of July 19, starting from 6:40 pm, Azerbaijani Armed Forces began shelling Armenian positions located in the Yeraskh section of the Armenian-Nakhichevan border for several hours using grenade launchers and firearms of different calibers, informs the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

According to the MoD, Azerbaijani units used grenade launchers. The situation remains tense as of 11:00 pm.

Armenia’s Ministry of Defense warns once again that any border provocation will face a harsh response, and the entire responsibility for the aggravation of the situation falls on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan.

On July 14, Azerbaijani Forces opened fire on Armenian positions, killing an Armenian soldier near Armenia’s Yeraskh village on the Armenian-Nakhchivan border.

As a result of the aggression of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces, Rudik Oghikyan, the head of Armenia’s Yeraskh village was wounded in the shoulder. He was taken to the Ararat medical center and is now being transported to the Astghik Medical Center in Yerevan, reports Sputnik Armenia.
