Armenian Priest Arbak Sarukhanyan attacked by three Jewish youth in the Armenian Quarter of Jerusalem, informs Chancellor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem Koryun Baghdasaryan.

The Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem strongly condemned the attack on a member of the St. Hakobyants Congregation Reverend Father Arbak Sarukhanyan at midnight by the three Jewish youth on his way from the St. Hakobyants Cathedral in the Armenian Quarter to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Christian Quarter.

Father Arbak Sarukhanyan was injured from the attack and was immediately hospitalized, where he was discharged after receiving the necessary treatment.

The patriarchate formally lodged a complaint with the police, after which three of the attackers were arrested.

The patriarchate demands that the police conduct a fair investigation and punish the perpetrators in accordance with the law in order to avoid a recurrence of such incidents in the future.
