Rep. Sherman: State Department Has Called On Baku To Release All Armenian Prisoners-Of-War.

DiasporaAmericasRep. Sherman: State Department Has Called On Baku To Release All Armenian Prisoners-Of-War.

U.S. Representative Brad Sherman informs that the U.S. State Department has had “multiple, substantive conversations with Baku,” calling for the release of all Armenian prisoners of war from Azerbaijani captivity.

“I spoke with Assistant Secretary Reeker of the State regarding Armenian POWs in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is in violation of the ceasefire agreement by not having released all POWs,” tweeted Sherman.

“I am glad to hear the State Department has had multiple, substantive conversations with Baku calling for the release of all POWs. It seems to be that Baku gave POWs access to ICRC in response to US efforts. I will continue to work with the State Department to release all POWs,” added Sherman.
