Armenia is set to receive its first shipment of COVID-19 vaccines by late January, mid February, said Gayane Sahakyan, Deputy Director General of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia, Head of the National Immunization Program, said at a press conference today, reports Armenpress.

“We are negotiating with producers, whose vaccines have passed the necessary trials and studies ” Sputnik V, Pfizer-BioNTech, AstraZeneca and Moderna,” said Sahakyan.

“We plan on initially purchasing the vaccine for 10 percent of the population. When the vaccine is rolled out, priority will be given to those in at-risk groups,” added Sahakyan.
