HomelandGlobal IssuesArtsakh Authorities Report That The Fate Of 73 Servicemen Are Still Unknown In The Hin Tagher & Khtsaberd Areas Of Hadrut.

Artsakh’s Defense Army in a Facebook post informs that the fate of 73 Armenian servicemen in the Khtsaberd and Hin Tagher areas of the Hadrut region is still unknown, refuting media reports that 171 people are missing.

The post reads as follows:

“Contradictory information continues to be spread in various media about the missing Armenian servicemen in the Khtsaberd-Hin Tagher section. In particular, information about up to 171 Armenian servicemen is circulating, which does not correspond to reality.

The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan informs that the fate of 73 people in the mentioned direction is still unknown. From the very first hours of the incident, with the support of Russian peacekeepers, urgent work is being done to find out the fate of our servicemen as soon as possible.

It should be added that the head of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Colonel-General Onik Gasparyan also left for the Republic of Artsakh to study the issue on the spot and take necessary actions.

The public will be regularly provided with information on the steps taken and their results.”
