DiasporaFrench City Of Bourg-lès-Valence To Send 120 Tons Of Humanitarian Aid For Artsakh.

Today, the French city of Bourg-lès-Valence send 120 tons of humanitarian aid for Artsakh, Mayor Marlène Mourier informs.

As Zartonk Media was informed from Marlène Mourier, the Mayor of France’s Bourg-lès-Valence city’s Twitter account, the statement runs as follows:

“Operation 40 tons” for Artsakh becomes “Operation 120 tons” for Artsakh tweets Marlene Mourier, mayor of Bourg-lès-Valence.

The fundraising effort for the refugees in Artsakh began on November 23rd. There followed a tremendous outpouring of solidarity and generosity which made it possible to collect 120 tons of aid, writes Mourier.

Today, alongside the volunteers and her assistant Grégoire Tafankejian, they loaded and sent a 1st 40 ton container to Armenia. It will be collected by the Mayor of Shushi, present in Yerevan, to manage the refugee centers and in particular the distribution of donations.

This outpouring of generosity towards the refugees from Armenia has brought together and mobilized several thousand inhabitants of our territory and some sixty volunteers who have worked tirelessly for more than two weeks. Thank you to the donors, in solidarity with the people of Artsakh!

Another shipment will be scheduled soon and we are proud to say that today the city of Bourg-lès-Valence has more than ever contributed to the massive aid sent for refugees in the territories of Nagorno-Karabakh!
