“Israel fully supports the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs’ efforts to resolve the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,” newly appointed Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan George Deek said at a press conference.

George Deek emphasized that the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be resolved peacefully and through dialogue. Touching upon the issues of security and fight against terrorism, the diplomat said that Israel and Azerbaijan maintain close cooperation in these fields.

Hailing the strategic relations between Israel and Azerbaijan, the diplomat underlined that the friendship between the two countries is recognized and respected by everyone. “Azerbaijan is a friendly and partner country for Israel,” he said.
