Armenia’s two airports saw a strong growth in passenger traffic in October 2019 against the same month of 2018.

Yerevan Zvartnots International Airport and Shirak Airport in the second largest city of Gyumri handled 298,300 passengers last month, up 12.6% from October 2018, Armenia International Airports reported.

In October this year, Zvartnots Airport reported a 14.6 increase in passenger traffic. The airport served 286,227 passengers last month against 249,857 of the past October.

Shirak Airport welcomed 12,073 passengers this October, down 19.9% from October 2018 when passenger traffic comprised 15,067 people.
Since the beginning of the year passenger flow at the two airports of Armenia has reached 2,695,266 people, marking a 11.5% growth from the same period last year.

Meanwhile, in January-October 2019 the total number of takeoffs and landings in both airports rose by 14.3% compared to the numbers of 2018.
