Today, the Republic of Armenia confirmed 517 new coronavirus cases and 19 new deaths, on Tuesday, June 2, taking the total number of cases to 10,009, per Armenia’s Ministry of Health.

Out of the 10,009 total cases, 3.427 people recovered (25 Today) and 158 patients with underlying health conditions died. The remaining 6,368 are active cases, per Alina Nikoghosyan, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. To date, 59,917 negative coronavirus tests have been conducted in Armenia, added Nikoghosyan.

The 140th-158th fatalities were 81 (female), 80 (male), 53 (male), 64 (male), 80 (male), 82 (male), 50 (female), 75 (male), 58 (male), 74 (female), 69 (male), 57 (male), 79 (male), 86 (female), 63 (male), 69 (male), 60 (female), 75 (male) and 61 (female) years old. All had pre-existing chronic diseases.

Today, Armenia ranked 23rd in the world in the amount of new coronavirus cases, and 17th in the world in the amount of new deaths, per Worldometers.
