DiasporaTurkey Criticizes Czech Senate For Condemning The Armenian Genocide.

A statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry said that relations between the two countries had already suffered in 2017, when the Czech parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide, and a new Senate resolution shows that the Czech Republic is still in the same mood.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry has also stated that the resolution adopted by the Czech Senate does not mean anything for Turkey and does not really reflect Prague’s position.

To remind – The Czech parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2017. And on May 20, 2020 the Senate unanimously adopted a resolution dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, in which the Armenian Genocide has also been condemned.
