Blinken: The US Is Calling For The Immediate And Simultaneous Opening Of The Lachin Corridor And The Aghdam Road

NewsArmeniaBlinken: The US Is Calling For The Immediate And Simultaneous Opening Of The Lachin Corridor And The Aghdam Road

Washington calls for an immediate and simultaneous unblocking of the Lachin Corridor and the opening of the Akna-Stepanakert road for the delivery of humanitarian goods to Artsakh. This is stated in the statement released by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

He noted that the USA is seriously concerned about the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Artsakh.

We know that humanitarian cargo is located near the Lachin Corridor and the road through Akna, and we again call for the immediate and simultaneous opening of both corridors to allow the movement of humanitarian aid needed by the women, children and men of Artsakh. We also call on leaders not to take any action that increases tensions and hinders the achievement of that goal. The use of force to resolve disputes is unwavering,” US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said in a statement.

Blinken noted that the US is convinced that any peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan must protect the rights of the people of Artsakh and guarantee their safety.
