Armenia’s men’s national team won gold in the 10m running target team event at the 2026 European Shooting Championship, which concluded in Yerevan.

Competing at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, the Armenian trio of Hovhannes Margaryan, Hayk Minasyan and Gor Khachatryan finished first, ahead of Sweden and Finland.

The championship was held from 27 February to 5 March, bringing together leading European athletes in rifle, pistol and moving target disciplines. Rifle and pistol events took place on 1 and 2 March, while the moving target finals were staged on 3 March, completing the programme.

In the women’s team competition in the same discipline, Gohar Harutyunyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan and Arusyak Grigoryan won silver, placing behind Ukraine and ahead of Germany.

On 3 March, Gohar Harutyunyan also secured silver in the women’s individual 10m running target event.

In the junior individual competition, Lilit Mkrtchyan won gold with 366 points, marking her second gold medal of the tournament. Yana Hakobyan took silver with 362 points.

At the conclusion of the championship, Armenia finished with a total of 10 medals, four gold, five silver and one bronze.
