Eduard Spertsyan has been named Armenia’s “Best Football Player of the Year” with 17 votes, while Vahe Gevorgyan won the “Best Coach of the Year” award with 13 votes, according to the Football Federation of Armenia’s (FFA) annual voting results.
Spertsyan is the captain of the Armenian national team and a midfielder, having been named captain last month and succeeding Tigran Barseghyan. He plays club football for FC Krasnodar, where he also serves as team captain. In 2025, the 25-year-old scored five goals for the Armenian national team and became a champion of the Russian Premier League for the first time in his club career.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan, a midfielder for Inter Milan, received eight votes in the voting.
In the coach category, Gevorgyan was named Armenia’s “Best Coach of the Year” with 13 votes. He is the head coach of FC Alashkert, and the Yerevan club is currently 4th in the Fastex Premier League. Last year, Gevorgyan also worked at FC Van, and the club representing Charentsavan took 5th place in the Fastex Premier League according to the results of the 2024/25 season.
Armenia national team head coach Yeghishe Melikyan received 9 votes, while the former head coach of Ararat-Armenia, Vardan Minasyan, received 3 votes.
