LAFC to Host 3rd Annual Armenian Heritage Night Celebrating Culture and Community on October 8 in Los Angeles

NewsArmeniaLAFC to Host 3rd Annual Armenian Heritage Night Celebrating Culture and Community on October 8 in Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) will host its third annual Armenian Heritage Night on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, when the Black & Gold take on Toronto FC at BMO Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 PM PDT.

The event, which has quickly become a beloved tradition for both LAFC fans and the Armenian community of Los Angeles, continues the club’s efforts to celebrate the rich cultural fabric of the city while honoring Armenian heritage and contributions to the community.

Special Merchandise & Experiences

This year’s Armenian Heritage Night will feature a limited-edition scarf, hoodie, and t-shirt designed by renowned Armenian-American artist Sako Shahinian of Iron Ladle. Fans can purchase exclusive merchandise created for the night, while every ticket purchased through the official Heritage Night link will include an exclusive LAFC x Armenian Heritage Night hat.

Shahinian told Zartonk Media, “It’s an honor to represent the Armenian community in Los Angeles—within the LAFC family. The inspiration came from the Los Angeles city crest itself. I wanted to tell a distinctly Armenian American story by reimagining the Armenian coat of arms through the LAFC shield—blending elements from the American, Mexican, and LA crests to reflect our shared identity. LA stands for our city. LA stands for our team. And LA stands for the place where Armenian Americans call home.”

Food, Music, and Community Recognition

  • Armenian-inspired fusion cuisine will be served pre-match by MidEast Tacos at Fields LA and throughout the concourse during the match.
  • Armenian music will be played throughout the match and woven into the game-day experience, bringing cultural flair and energy to the stadium atmosphere.
  • The Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry will be recognized during pre-game festivities, highlighting its lifesaving work in the Armenian community.
  • In a show of community support, LAFC will donate new soccer equipment to Holy Martyrs Ferrahian Armenian School in Encino, continuing its commitment to engaging with and uplifting local Armenian institutions and youth programs.

A Growing Tradition

Since its launch in 2023, Armenian Heritage Night has drawn thousands of Armenian fans and supporters to BMO Stadium. Past events have highlighted community leaders, cultural organizations, and even Armenian-American celebrities, while showcasing LAFC’s dedication to inclusivity and representation.

With this year marking the third installment of the celebration, LAFC is reinforcing its bond with the Armenian diaspora, one of Los Angeles’ largest and most influential communities.
