Armenia’s economy saw stronger growth in the second quarter of 2025, with GDP expanding by 5.9 percent compared to 5.1 percent in the first quarter, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced.
Papoyan noted in a Facebook post that the pace of growth had outperformed earlier expectations. “In the first quarter of this year, GDP grew by 5.1 percent, whereas in the second quarter the growth accelerated to 5.9 percent,” he wrote.
He reminded that when the state budget for 2025 was approved at the end of last year, the government had projected GDP growth of 5.1 percent.
