On April 12, Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Malkhas Amoyan added another gold medal to his impressive collection, becoming a four-time European champion following a hard-fought victory in the 77 kg weight category at the 2025 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, held in Bratislava, Slovakia.
In a tense final bout, Amoyan defeated Georgia’s Ramaz Zoidze with a 3:1 score, showcasing his tactical prowess and experience on the mat. Amoyan successfully defended his title for the third consecutive year.
This latest victory marks Amoyan’s fourth European title, having previously secured gold in 2022, 2023, and 2024. In addition to his continental achievements, the Armenian athlete is also a reigning world champion and an Olympic bronze medalist.
