Azerbaijan has announced “the launch of an anti-terrorist operation” in Artsakh. Baku announced that “the command of the Russian peacekeeping troops and the leadership of the Russian-Turkish observation center were informed about the ongoing operation.” “Disarmament and withdrawal of Armenian armed forces formations, neutralization of military infrastructures” was mentioned as a goal.

Ruben Vardanyan, the former Minister of State of Artsakh, referring to the military operations started by Azerbaijan against Armenia, stated that Armenia should recognize Artsakh and join the defense of its citizens. 

“The leadership of Armenia should recognize Artsakh and join the defense of its citizens. We all have to protect our motherland”, he wrote.

Pashinyan. Some forces, both internal and external, are trying to drag Armenia into war. Once again I confirm that there is no Armed Forces of Armenia in Nagorno-Karabakh. It won’t work for them. No matter how difficult it is, in particular, emotionally, we should not give the opportunity to some forces, external and internal, to put Armenian statehood under attack.
