Armenian Ambassador To Russia Received Note Of Protest For Rome Statute Ratification Decision, Anna Hakobyan’s Kyiv Visit And Military Exercises With The US

NewsArmeniaArmenian Ambassador To Russia Received Note Of Protest For Rome Statute Ratification Decision, Anna Hakobyan's Kyiv Visit And Military Exercises With The US

Armenia’s Ambassador to Russia Vagharshak Harutyunyan was summoned to the country’s Foreign Ministry and presented a note of protest regarding “a number of unfriendly steps” by Yerevan.

It is noted that the Armenian leadership has taken a number of unfriendly steps in recent days, including: sending the Rome Statute for ratification, the visit of the Prime Minister’s wife to Kyiv, where she handed over humanitarian aid to the “Kiev Nazi regime”, military exercises with the participation of the USA in the RA territory.

It is also noted that recently in the official regions of RA and the political elite, certain doubts are expressed regarding the expediency of allied relations within the framework of the CSTO and with Russia on a bilateral basis, as well as the firing of tripartite statements by Moscow, Yerevan and Baku.

“A note of protest has been submitted, which indicates the inadmissibility of the insulting statements of the RA National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova,” the statement says.

It is noted that Moscow proceeds from the fact that Russia and Armenia remain allies, and all agreements aimed at the development of relations will be implemented for the benefit of the peoples of the countries.

“The Russian side will make all necessary efforts for this purpose in the near future,” the statement says.
