NewsArmenia"Hayaqve" Submitted 58,000 Signatures To The CEC Of Armenia, With The Aim To Criminalize Actions That Question The Artsakh Sovereignty

“We officially submitted the signatures of all the citizens who joined this legislative initiative to the CEC. This is a long process, but it is prescribed by law. We still deliver ahead of schedule. During this time, we digitized the signatures, and found out how many errors there were. According to our calculations, they do not even exceed half a percent,” said initiative coordinator Avetik Chalabyan.

Chalabyan expressed confidence that the Central Election Commission will not have any reasonable ground to reject the citizens, who participated in the process. Chalabyan mentioned that despite a number of obstacles that the government put in front of this initiative, in order for it to fail, it still gained more than enough votes.

Hayk Mamijanyan, the secretary of the “I have honor” faction of the National Assembly, noted that the future and fate of Artsakh and Armenia will be decided in Yerevan, and the people of Artsakh are doing everything they can to save Artsakh, physically enduring hunger, pressure, and kidnappings in Azerbaijan. In that light, he praised the initiative and all the participants for their efforts.
