The humanitarian aid sent from France is in Armenia. In the early morning of August 30th, the convoy moved from Yerevan to the Hakari bridge, on which the Azerbaijani side set up an illegal checkpoint.

Humanitarian aid was sent by Paris and a number of large regions of France. The convoy was accompanied by a delegation of French officials headed by Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo. The President of France Emmanuel Macron made a statement that the visit of Mayor Hidalgo is a symbolic move that is aimed to show the international public the determination of France to make a move to stop the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh and come to a peaceful understanding of the issue.

The first truck with French humanitarian aid joined the convoy sent by the Armenian government on August 9. In that regards, this is the first humanitarian aid, that was sent on behalf of the French government.

For more than a month, trucks loaded with more than 400 tons of essential goods sent by the RA government have been staying in Kornidzor. At the moment, it is not yet clear whether the French aid will be able to be transferred to Artsakh through the Lachin checkpoint or not.
