On August 17, at 2:45 pm, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces opened fire from different caliber firearms at the Armenian positions on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border in Gegharkunik, particularly in the Sotk region, reports the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
One Armenian serviceman was injured after receiving a gunshot wound, the injury was not life-threatening.
As of 4:30 p.m., the shooting continued. As a result of the counter-actions carried out by the Armenian side, the enemy has one victim and one wounded.
