Acting Defense Minister of Armenia Vagharshak Harutyunyan has submitted his letter of resignation, reports News.am citing the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.
He was appointed to the position on November 20, 2020, after former Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan resigned following the 44-day Artsakh War.
By the decision of the acting PM Nikol Pashinyan, Arshak Karapetyan was appointed First Deputy Minister of Defense.
Earlier today, Arshak Karapetyan was relieved of the post of First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, and Vagharshak Harutyunyan was relieved of the post of the acting Minister of Defense after submitting his resignation.
