Azerbaijan is ready to work with Armenia on a big peace agreement, said Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in an interview with TRT.
“We believe that this is realistically the first time after the obtaining of independence by Armenia and Azerbaijan when our countries have a unique opportunity to normalize their relations,” said Bayramov, adding that “this is the first time when there is no fact of occupation.”
Bayramov said “As a result of this war, Azerbaijan restored its territorial integrity based on 4 UN Security Council resolutions. Four out of seven occupied regions were liberated by military operations and three were based on these trilateral statements.”
“Azerbaijan is ready to work with Armenia on a big peace agreement between our two countries and we are offering this,” said Bayramov adding that they expect the same level of political will from Armenia.
