Armenia and Iran continue to work on the Persian Gulf – Black Sea transport corridor, said Acting Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan, reports Sputnik Armenia.
To implement the project, an international working group has already been created, which held a meeting one or two months ago. The next one will take place in Bulgaria.
“We must work out the easiest and fastest mechanisms for the transportation of goods along this important route,” Avinyan said.
Another program concerns a third high-voltage transmission line with Iran, which will facilitate the exchange of electricity between the two countries. The parties are now negotiating to extend the construction period.
“Our trade turnover is growing, and the parties note the importance of promoting joint projects,” Avinyan said.
