DiasporaEverton Forward Cenk Tosun Flashes What Appears To Be The Insignia Of The Grey Wolves After Scoring.

Turkish Footballer Cenk Tosun was seen flashing the insignia of the Grey Wolves, a Turkish neo-fascist group, after scoring a goal against Rotherham in the FA Cup.

The Grey Wolves are an ultra-nationalist neo-fascist group based in Turkey.

They are the largest right-wing extremist organisation in Germany and were banned by the French government last year.

Tosun is also a close friend and supporter of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Tosun, was also among the Turkish national football team squad who made a military salute Euro 2020 qualifier against France. Several leading politicians in the country had previously called for the game in Paris to be canceled after Turkey’s footballers performed the same gesture during the previous game against Albania.

The salute came days after Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched an incursion into Syria to drive Kurdish forces away from the border.
