Today, on Saturday, November 28, Health Minister Arsen Torosyan took part in the ceremony of receiving humanitarian aid from France to Armenia was attended by French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacotte, Aznavour Foundation Director Kristina Aznavour, and Youri & Denis Djorkaeff and other guests.

Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan took part in the ceremony of receiving humanitarian aid from France to Armenia, which was attended by French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoine, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacotte, Aznavour Foundation Director for Armenia Christina France Aznav Will Ambassador Yuri Jorkaev ե other guests.
It should be noted that this is the second plane carrying humanitarian aid from France, which is designed to support the Armenian population affected by the Artsakh-Azerbaijani war. The humanitarian aid will be distributed to the medical institutions operating in Armenia.
“First of all, I would like to thank Jonathan Lacotte, as we have always been in close cooperation with him, starting with the fight against coronavirus disease, when doctors from France came to support our Armenian colleagues and exchange experiences. “We highly appreciate any support provided by France, taking into account the long-standing friendship between our countries,” Arsen Torosyan stressed.
During the event, Arsen Torosyan և Jean-Baptiste Lemoine signed a document confirming that France had donated to Armenia 1 mobile medical center with a capacity of 5 tons, capable of treating 500 patients, 5 generators, 5 extractors, 25,000 gloves, 900 applicationsF consisting of 1 batch of COVID, as well as 2500 hygiene kits.
Within the framework of cooperation, the French “Doctors Without Borders” organization arrived in Armenia. The organization will work in Armenia in providing necessary medical care, physical and psychological rehabilitation of people in need, provision of necessary medicines, devices and materials, and other necessary directions.
The first plane from France to Armenia brought medical equipment – medicines to strengthen the capacity of the Armenian healthcare system, as well as basic necessities for people displaced from Artsakh to Armenia – ambulance equipment. Covers and hygiene kits have also been provided to be distributed to those affected by the conflict.
The cargo of the second plane will consolidate state resources, donations collected by Solidarity Associations cooperating with Armenia, in particular, donations collected by the Aznavour Foundation, the Armenian General Benevolent Union, humanitarian organizations and business foundations.
At the end of the ceremony, the members of the French delegation again expressed their readiness to support, assuring the Armenian side that the humanitarian aid will be continuous.
