Young Armenian pianist Laura Galstyan won the 4th prize at the 5th Krystian Tkaczewski International Piano Competition in Poland and was recognized as one of the top six pianists. The competition was held online and in five different categories.

In the “Young Virtuosos” category, Armenia’s 17-year-old pianist, who was Armenia’s only representative, performed the works of Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel and Babajanyan and competed with nearly 60 pianists from Japan, China, the US, Malta, Germany and several other countries.

Laura Galstyan is a student of Merited Artist of the Republic of Armenia, pianist Hayk Melikyan and recipient of awards at several international competitions, including Feurich (2nd Prize) and Vienna International Art Festival (1st Prize), Future Stars (3rd Prize), Melos (1st Prize) and more.

The female pianist is scheduled to give her first online solo concert at Komits Museum-Institute in November.
