Today, on August 22 at around 7:30 p.m., Armenian Solider Gurgen Alaverdyan got confused and got lost due to very unfavorable weather conditions when inspecting a military combat position, search operations are being conducted, per Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia.

Stepanyan also dismissed Azerbaijani reports that Armenian sabotage-reconnaissance group armed forces attempted a provocation at the border.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported that sabotage-reconnaissance group of the Armenian armed forces made an attempt to commit a provocation at the border. Further claiming that Azeri forces caused the Armenian to retreat after suffering losses.

During the battle, the commander of the Armenian sabotage group, according to the initial interrogation, First Lieutenant Gurgin Alberyan was taken prisoner. The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense reported that it captured the Commander of Armenia’s sabotage-reconnaissance group.
